Who we are

Hope for Healing Hearts is a bereavement and counseling center located in Huntington Beach, California. We are a nonprofit 501(c) organization dedicated to caring for families and individuals in the aftermath of their personal loss through education, support and counseling.

Loss can be intrusive, unsettling and overwhelming – sometimes affecting us physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.  Our center is designed to address these and many other issues associated with experiencing loss.

Our Background

Hope for Healing Hearts Ministries was born out of a felt need and concern of the founder, Randy Hill, director, minister and certified grief educator.

Within the context of the traditional church, Randy discovered that spiritual needs were being addressed; however, the typical church had limited resources focused on the emotional needs of those who were grieving the loss of a loved one.

Because of his own experience with personal loss and his training in death education, Randy became sensitive to the needs of others in this area. During the past 20 years he has conducted thousands of funerals throughout Southern California, assisting families in one of the most difficult times of life.

Randy’s work is interdenominational, serving families from many different backgrounds, as well as those who have little or no religious affiliation. His training and education in theology, thanatology, and clinical psychology have uniquely prepared him to focus on and address the total needs of the individual or family.

In addition to bereavement counseling, Randy provides personal counseling related to life issues and employee assistance programs designed to address personal and professional issues such as grief in the workplace, stress, anxiety and depression.
